Are all you guys forgetting that Don Imus is an repeat offender. I guess you guys love hearing is rude and racist jokes about kike, *******, mick, spick dago, N-word, Jap, Chink, redneck, catholic priest jokes etc etc. Plain and simple he is a racist. He should have never been let back on the air. Don Imus does not listen to rap music. Is this how low white America has come? Why do black folks always have to be the forgiving one?

I don't know if deserve is thr right terminology ,i think the question is; whether or not he realized that what he did can never be accepted ,and if he passionately acknowledges his wrong doing ,not to sound cliche, but lets see what he does with his second chance .I am not a fan nor have i endorsed his work but for the sake of socialization we owe it to ourselves to not hold a grudge so much concerning things that are racially charged but we must stand above that to voice what our heart feels. We need to do this for posterity and progression sake.

Absolutely!! The man acts like a do-do at times but the stink put up by Sharpton was atrocious. Sharpton made a big" To Do" about Tiwana Brawley which proved to be an unfounded lie. Did Sharpton apologize to the whites? Hell No!! So, Is there a double standard here? No Perhaps about it! I didn't listen to Imus much due to my working hours, and now, I would rather do other things than listen to radio. He deserves to be given another chance. Can he get a word in edgewise with Sharpton around ? I doubt it!! But Good Luck Don.

I don't like Imus, but I also think that punishing someone for life is too harsh. He learned a lesson and now he can set a better example.

He absolutely most certainly does. Why should he not have a career anymore because he said something offensive?? People say offensive vile things everyday. He should never have been fired in my opinion. I think he should have been reprimanded in some way definitely, like maybe a month without pay, but did people seriously think his career would be over?? Chris Rock speaks offensively about whites everytime he gets on stage - should he be allowed back? Whites never say a word about it - they should - he's offensive, but he's never fired for it - nor are any of the other blacks who offend the whites

well I'm like this rappers and comedians and some shows even use words that offend me but no one fires them . until there are laws passed as to what is acceptable and isn't were going to have freedom of speech . his contract didn't say he couldn't say those words and that's why hes back on the air because he could sue for millions which i wish he did.

Some people cry discrimination about the least little thing, Look at all the publicity that female team got out of this.. Thats what they probably wanted in the first place.

Deserve? It's his right. He did nothing "majorly" wrong. Come on now. Let's put what he did in perspective. He has lost alot of respect and money for what he said but people took advantage of the situation and blew it WAY out of porportion. He didn't kill anybody. He didn't commit a crime. Come on.

It isn't up to US- to decide what someone else "deserves". If people stopped listening to him- he'd be gone in a heartbeat. So if He's still on the air 5 years from now- it's OUR fault, not His.

Yes, he should have never left. I think his comment about the basketball team was meant to be funny and not racist.
