Here is my situation and this is REALLY hard for me. My sister is dating someone on the Megans Law website. He was convicted with sexual batter, PC 243.4.(Sexual Battery). She takes my neice and nephew over to his house every night and says he is safe. I am soooooooooo upset. I want to do something to protect my neice and nephew. Is he allowed to be around them? Is he breaking the law by being around the kids? I dont know his address, I have tried to call the police. Anyone know about this for sure? Please help, thankyou.

I did check the county site and he had 3 dropped accounts of lewd and lavacious acts with a child, and was convicted of sexual battery. He stated to my sister that he was 18 and the girl was 16 and he bit her on the neck. He wasnt convicted until he was 21 or 22??? Makes no sense to me and my sister is known to lie, especially when she "falls in love".

You can report information directly to the Department of Justice by opening the registered sex offender's profile and clicking on the "Report Information to DOJ" button. You should contact your local police department and informed then about your situation. This is the list of enforcement agencies at the local level to help you to resolve those concerns.

Before you panic you need to find out what he did. He might have had sex with a 16 year old when he was 17 or 18. Or, it could be something serious. I would imagine your sister has already checked him out, but it wouldn't hurt for you to do the same. All the details can be found on country web sites online.

It depends on what he was convicted of. I suggest you look at the sex offender registry to find his name. Only certain offenses, those involving minors, will keep him from being around children. I also encourage you to report these incidents to the police. If he is violating the law, they'll take care of it. Don't sit around and wait.
