lol yeah. I would read like the first paragraph and decide from that if its worth reading. If not I will thumbs down it to get to the other answers. Or if I already know who the person is and know that I will likely not agree with their answer. I did that a lot with Catholic Crusader's answers. He always had like super LONG answers.

Generally, no. Not unless the person isn't really giving an answer, but just being rude and insulting. I usually read all answers given, and usually don't thumbs down except for the above reason. I give a lot of thumbs up, though.

Nah, not usually. Unless it's totally stupid. Or if I think it'd be stupid and I don't want to waste time reading it. Or maybe if I think the answerer would thumbs down me. Or if it's the third Tuesday of a odd-numbered month...

There used to be a couple of Muslims on here who would copy and paste HUGE sections of the Quran along with their own commentary. Some of these were well over 1,000 words. I thumbs-downed all of them without reading them. Eventually I had to block them.

That's the only reason I will thumbs down an answer (it also has to be not even attempting to answer the question).

All the time.

All the time, even if it's from someone I like. I just don't say anything as I'm interested in the answers that are to the point.

Hahaha! Yeah... I do. But coincidentally enough, those always seem to be the kind of cut-and-paste religious rants that I thumbs-down anyway, regradless of size. So it works out well that way!

Yeah especially if it is just a rant and not really answering the question.
