Why is it that if I speak out about illegal immigration I am immediatly branded as a racist? Does no one acknowledge that crossing someone else's country's border without authorization is illegal? And please don't even try to call me a racist, my wife is from across the southern border and she came in legally. She even took the oath of allegiance and it caused me a missed heartbeat when she did it. But then I still get goosebumps when I hear the national anthem or 'To The Colors'. Golly fifty percent of my own family came through Ellis Island with no hope of any sort of...welfare(?)...Am I really zenophobic?

I'm with you brother. You're OK, and I'm OK. There is a difference b/t legal and ILLEGAL immigration. Many fail to make that distinction.

We have a mess when it comes to immigration. My father is very against illegal immigration because he is retire, living on a fixed income, and seeing it from the perspective that illegal immigrants may receive benefits that he helped pay for.

I look at it differently...without immigrants, we would be paying tons more for produce at the store, lots more for hotel rooms (someone has to clean them), and on and on.

I am for reform to help people come here legally and more easily. I don't care whether you call it a guest worker program, or whether you give them citizenship. We need the people who are coming here from Mexico and other nations - there has to be some solution where we can all get what we want.

Well Mexico sure thinks its illegal that's why they secure their Southern border. I think we should follow their example.
