Relax! That's the first step, then you may count his daily movements. If you are too worried Try eating, getting into weird positions, everything that will make him move. If his movements aren't what they should be, you should call a doctor ASAP. But if he's moving several times a day, you may be just be worrying too much. Odds are he's just fine. Babies have their days, one they are all over and others they are nicer and don't kick mommy as much.
As for the dreams, all mommy-to-be have that kind of dreams. When I was preggo I kept dreaming that my son would be disfigured, or that he wouldn't make it, and a lot of very awful things. I believe its part of the fears a woman experiments during pregnancy for whats to come. Just relax. Scary dreams suck but are normal.
Hope this helps and congratulations on your pregnancy!

I've had really bad dreams like this about my daughter. early in pregnancy i would dream that i woke up and had bled out. now its just that bad things have happened to her. They say you will dream like this because you're worried and want everything to be ok. Which I'm sure everything will be fine. been healthy so far. the less movement could just be he's in a position that you can't feel him so much or that he's just squished more in there. Good luck everything will be fine.

your midwife would be checking you out if there was a problem, I was born a blue baby at 5lb 1 oz and i survived. don't add to your own fears. you have about a quart of hormones now , relax everybody has fears, but don't you think your midwife would be much more concerned. relax and do some breathing and you'll be fine. I am healthy as an ox and i was not breathing for a while

It's normal to worry a little. Try to calm down and do kick counts to make yourself feel better. http://pregnancy.about.com/cs/prenataltests/ht/kickcount.htm

Your midwife knows what she/he is talking about. There is usually some decreased movement as the baby gets bigger because their space is more cramped.

Aw, calm down! The stress you're feeling now isn't good for you or your little guy. Everything will be fine. Call up your midwife again if you feel the need to. They are there to ease your concerns.

go to the dr, they should at least check you out to ease your worrys. and it wouldn't be the end of the world if your baby was born now, it would suck, and he'd be in the hospital for a few months, but he'd probably survive. pregnant women always have dreams like this. i had re-curring dreams that my baby was being kidnapped... she is two now and hasn't been kidnapped at all... and she was born over 2 months premature... good luck, call the dr, i am sure your fine

He's fine. Take a deep breath and relax. You're just going through normal pregnancy worries. He's perfect, the kid's just growing.
