We are to discuss the history of abortions. I didn't know this but women were having abortions long before it was legalized. Aside from clothes hangers do you know some of the ways women would abort their fetuses? Is it true that they used ginger?

There are certain herbs found in nature that can cause abortions, like ginger and some even say that the flower from the mistletoe can induce miscarriage/abortion.

There was a process that involved (unlit) candles.. the candle would be burned for 3 days after the procedure, or something along those lines.
Also of course, the herbal "remedies".. pennyroyal tea, as mentioned by Nirvana in the song by the same name, and many others.

Greek and Roman societies would just wait until the kid was born, and if they didn't want it they would literally throw it away. Probably not technically abortion but the end result is the same.
