There's nothing in Marx about gun ownership...so I guess it then depends upon the country. The better question is "can you own a gun in a capitalist country?" the answer there similarly is that it depends upon the country. A quick search showed strong gun controls in Cuba and some of the Warsaw pact countries, but no restrictions on communist Afghanistan (76-86) or Mongolia. So, it depends.

In a communist country, ownership is very minimal. Thus, owning a gun is not possible. Therefore, small items such as toothbrush and etc are.

It depends on where you live in the country....if you live somewhere deep in mongolia there are probably few restrictions or rural Cuba. It would also stand to reason that if you were high up in the government you would probably not have much problem owning a firearm.

Communism is really an economic framework, so you could live in a communist country and still have some of the rights we enjoy.

Only if the Communist Party uses you as a part of the enforcement of their policies...like the KGB, Peoples Liberation Army...that sort of thing. But you don't "own" it, the State does !
