The Iranian people actually like Americans? Really? The "Death to America" sing along after Friday prayers threw me there for a minute.

War is always good for business. Lobbyists are helping to influence this decison. The war in Iraq was about money (oil), and another place to post US bases after the US got effectively kicked out of Saudi Arabia.
However, I think that Bush may try to pull this one off before he goes out of office.
But I agree.
Even when the USSR was powerful, what did the US do? They negotiated. Iran has said that they're willing to negotiate. We should talk.
True, their word may not be trustworthy, but if they lie, then the US can claim the high ground morally. However, even then, I oppose the use of force. IF the US army cannot control Iraq, how will it maintain order in a nation with 3x the area of Iraq and Iraq and Afghantistan all at once?

People are unbelievable. This report changes nothing. Right now Iran is trying to enrich uranium. What good is a nuke program if you can't enrich uranium? So they put the program on the back burner. If they gain the ability to enrich uranium, they can restart their nuke program again. The report goes on to say that Iran could get nuke capabilities in the next 3-7 years. Hello!! That is not that far away. That will be during the next president's tenure, especially if they are a 2 term president.
