What has happened to Melinda Doolittle?

Since being voted off of American Idol, what has happened to Melinda Doolittle. She really had a Tina Turner slant to her voice that I enjoyed?

Melinda Doolittle will host and perform at the school's annual "Christmas at Belmont" concert. The concert, which will take place on November 19, will be taped and air Monday, December 24 at 10PM ET/PT on PBS.

Wow! Do not know but hope she is getting a big record deal or On Broadway show.
