Your gonna need a new IPOD probably. If it already dried out then theres nothing you can do. Try sueing the store for not having big enough lids. Theres probably no warning on the cup about dropping stuff in it.

GET THE BATTERY OUT RIGHT NOW!!!!! Do not connect it to ANYTHING. Quick, open the dang thing up. You might need some type of tiny screwdriver. Get some Q tips and some alcohol and get all the gunk and soda and sugary stuff off all the circuitry as fast as possible. The alcohol will evaporate quickly so no worries there. After it is clean and dry , put it back together, PREY, and power it up.... Good luck

Well try these:

1. plug it USB and wait until it charges a bit.

2. Dry it. Don't bug it for some time; it needs to calm down.

The fact that your iPod still shows that apple logo means the chips inside aren't busted.

So with patience and hope, you will be able to use it again.

Your last choice will be to send it back through that awful service of Future shop.

You cannot allow those things to get wet. I realize that there are people that are under the belief that you can take apart a cell phone that has gotten wet...allow it to dry and it'll be okay. HOWEVER, I dropped my cell phone in a shallow bathtub of water (trying to talk to the hubby while bathing the dog) and I tried exactly what they said on the news...take the battery out and let it completely dry out... it didn't work. They even said that on that news story, too. It's not guaranteed to work. And, it didn't.

You might as well say bye-bye to your iPod and get a new one.

DO NOT PLUG IT IN.

Open up the case if you can. pry it apart. gently clean the contacts and parts with a damp papertowel and then dry. Let DRY. DO NOT try to turn it on or plug it in.

Nanos have low voltage so if you let it clean off some of the sugar and let it dry for several days, it could be ok.

if it was a regular one, uhhh.... try cleaning it and letting it dry for several days, who knows? Maybe it will start working as well.

Well, it could be not working totally, which would be worse. Plug it into the comptuer like you'd change it, and leave it there for a day or two and see what happens.

ok i know from my own experience you should get a new one i had a water bottel in my bag and it opened all over my ipod then i brought it in and didnt tell them that i got water on it but it just broke bc YOU are liable for water damage and then took it in and i got a message saying it was water damaged so we do not cover it and then i got it back and it would cost more money to get it fixed then to get a new ipod...sorry

did you at least get a wii?

take it back to where you bought it and they will figure out what is wrong just tell them that its not working and it keeps freezing. you dont have to tell them about the soda accident lol. that will just embarress you. just tell them its not working, they will ask you questions like your home number and stuff so be prepared. make sure you have to receipt, if you dont have warranty you are screwed, and good luck i hope you do have warranty if not i would ask for an ipod this holiday.

you probably broke it, but if not than if you have a wall charger, no the computer, than you should try plugging it into that and try resarting it (hold select and menu at the same time) hope that helps
good luck
