Simple. Join the Mormon church and then with the Jehova's Witnesses come to your door, try to convert them to mormonism (they especially don't like you to offer them a Book of Mormon).

Put a NO SOLICITING sign on your door. They legally can't come up to it if that is on there and if they do call the cops. I think it is rude. I am a Christian and I talk to people about my religion if the moment is right, but I don't go banging on the doors of people and bother them. My dad was a preacher and he would answer the door and invite them in. He would literally sit there for hours and hours and argue back and forth and prove the Jehovahs wrong everytime...guess who left on their own the Jehovahs. I would call the church you think they are from and tell them Thank you but no thank you. Let them know that if you were interested or changed your mind your will get a hold of them and you appreciate the gesture but if they come back again you will call the cops. RUDE

Hang a sign on your door--"No religious freaks". That or just make a satanic sign ! That should work. Maybe keep some of those pamphlets they hand out and give the mormons the jehovs papers then give the jehovs the morons papers!!!!

Wow, I just heard about something like this on the radio.
It was tips to get people to stop knocking on your door.
The first one was to turn off your lights, so they'll think nobody's home.
The second one is to come to the door with a phone so it seems like you're really busy, so they'd leave.
And I think the third one was to come to the door in a towel or something, haha.
Well, that's it..
Hope I helped.. =]

my dad told me i did this when i was younger...
one day a Jehova's Witness knocked on our door and my dad told me to just stay quiet so they wouldn't know we were home. i went to the window anyway and yelled for my dad, but he didn't answer. i think they stopped coming.
my dad told me he and his sisters used to put up signs of the devil (666, pentagrams, etc.) on their doors and they would avoid them.
tell them you're /way/ too busy biting the heads off chickens and sacrificing lambs to the devil to deal with other religions right now.
i'm seriously not trying to be mean or say their religion is wrong. i respect other people's beliefs, but i don't think they should be pushed upon other people.

Put up a 'No Soliciting' sign by your front window. If someone comes to the door, look out the window, knock in it, and point to the sign.
It is a little rude, but they are being rude in the first place by not respecting your wishes.

My husband sat on the porch with an unloaded shotgun across his lap when he saw them coming down the driveway. They turned around and left - never came back. The best way is to politely tell them you appreciate their efforts, but they have come to the wrong house; you are not interested. Then just close the door.

Don't answer the door. No one says you have to open the door? that is coming from a witness. If it bothers you don't talk to us. We really don't care, it bothers you more than it does us. We are there to help persons who want to know what the bible teaches and wants to talk to us. We don't know before hand who those people are.
So if your not interested your wasteing our time, which we have jobs and homes and familys and we like to get back to them. We do not get paid we are all volenteers using our own free time to help others.

Take your homemade "No Religious Solicitation" sign with you to the door, open the door and hold the sign in front of your face.
Or, regardless of your beliefs, tell them frankly that you do not do God through your front door, you do your God at your church.

You can either ignore them until they go away or before they can launch into their spiel, tell them politely but firmly that you are not interested and close the door. I agree they are a nuisance. A neighbour of mine tried contacting their local headqaurters to stop their pestering but it did no good.
