Coke and Pepsi are made from different formulas. Unfortunately, no one can read the coke formula as it is protected under American Copyright laws and Coca Cola will not divulge what it is. Which became a problem with Rabbis a couple of years ago as Coke is Kosher.

Very very similar, Coke has 8 teaspoons of sugar and Pepsi has 10.

Similar in that they are both colas with a caramel flavor. The formulas are different and the taste is a little different. So pick the one you like best and enjoy.
Coca-cola was developed as a medication rather than a soft drink. But it became a soft drink. Pepsi i beleive was developed as a soft drink.
