Yes, or else it would be called a fact. And even then, in politics, those are often wrong too.

Hmm, this is more of a philosophical question than a political one. There are different classes of opinion. There are opinions that can be judged against the test of reality, those that are very difficult to test against reality and those that are not at all able to be tested against reality. It is my opinion that "Phish Food Ice cream tastes good." is an opinion for which there is no objective test. We can poll others but that poll would not answer the question any more than polling people about about the circumference of the Earth would answer that question. "It is my opinion that if I hold a bolling ball over the Earth and drop it that it will fall." That opinion CAN be tested against reality. "It is my opinion that [fill in the name of politician] is doing an excellent job as [fill in name of office]." This is a bit more tricky. By what criteria are you judging this person as doing a good job? Voting record? If so you need to go into every sing vote that you are counting and judge each and every bill by an objective standard. That will take a great deal of time because you might need to figure out the EFFECT of that bill. Then you get into Bastiat's effects not seen. Yea, I could go on but I have probably already caused some yawning.

Of course, Nobody is perfect even a lawyer, politicians, judges making an error on the statement. Why an opinion it should not be wrong.
Everybody has a different view, and knowledge about an opinion not necessarily the opinion can be wrong too.
The good thing is learn from mistakes to avoid problems in the future and always be perceptive to receive a constructive negative criticism when you make a wrong opinion.

Yes. An opinion is a mental construct based in part on facts, though often not the complete set of facts, and in part on other people's interpretation of those or a similar set of related facts. Opinions are shaded by those who had a part in shaping our thinking process; parents, teachers, preachers, etc. As we grow, we form our own but never are free of those forces. If anything, we look for sources that support our opinions and often don't question the validity of the source, i.e. their expertise and their agenda. Further, we seek a certain comfort level in forming our opinions. They must 'feel right' to us. So, considering the elements of opinions, fact, comfort, emotion, and learned thinking patterns, yes they can be wrong. But who cares. At least that's my opinion on opinions.

Opinions are like belly buttons, everyone has one. An opinion can not really be right or wrong, it is just a person's personal belief about something. An opinion can be based on good or bad information or be based on only a small bit of information. Hopefully, as a person learns more and thinks about things in more detail, their opinions will evolve and be based on accurate information.

Yes. Opinions are partially based upon feelings and emotions that may not be based on truth.

It is harder to defeat an opinion than a fact.

I don't think so. Your opinion is your point of view. It isn't right or wrong. That doesn't mean that anyone will agree with it, though.

In retrospect that is what a opinion is, A possible fact is also a possible false.
If it had no chance of being wrong, it would be a FACT.
