THICK OR THIN? WITH OR WITHOUT LITTLE RIVLETS?

To explain: Rivlets are a doughy mixture you make thin and drop in soup, OK?

RIVLETS: flour, eggs, pinch of salt / mix all together and pull dough apart in stringy pieces ... you can put butter in that dough too. Or make little dumplings...

Potato soup is one of our favorites, made it for many years, in the winter especially. One time, when my mom was in the hospital, potato soup is really all she felt like eating.

I LOVE POTATO SOUP!! That is what we had for dinner tonight!! Fresh, homemade, no rivulets, medium thickness!! I like to toss some shredded cheddar cheese into it!! Yummy!! With fresh cooked sourdough bread!!

I love it!!!!! Thick with rivlets. My grandma made the best. After I got married my mom would visit my gram and bring some home and try to hide it from everyone.

I like my variety with chunks of potato and onions and milk with butter on top. I am not fond of cream of potato soup.

I love it. in fact, I was going to make some over this past weekend, but made chili bean soup.
I like it with bacon bits or bacon grease, onions and sweet basil

i have nerver had potatoe soup but i do like cawl thats a welsh home made veg soup with either beef of to make it properly brisket of lamb you have got me thinking i will make it this week endl
