that is exactly the reason that USA has not attacked Iran! Russia has set up her boundary with USA by saying that an attack by hem would be an attack on Russia! Iran is in their backyard also! other countries will feel a threat too, first Afghanistan second Iraq then Iran so what is next? it can happen to any country and they can easily be next! Iran is very rich in oil and countries like china and Russia would not just sit and watch! most likely there will be many uprisings by people of some countries whose government is going to collaborate with USA ! it is very naive to think that the world will just sit and be the next victim! peace

Invading will lead to a possible world war and if president Bush Don't stop telling other countries what to do or else Like he is the world leader that he is not and thank god, he won't be leading this country after the election. We need him out of office now, He has done some good for this country but has done more bad and will be a long time patching his mistakes. We sure can't afford another President that believes in the same things as President Bush.

Not a one-time-only air attack on their nuclear facility, particularly if the Israeli air force was used by the U.S. as a cut-out. This was the approach used on Iraq in 1981. But a major U.S. air attack ala Yugoslavia '98 - which obviously was seriously considered - is now off the table precisely for that reason. Putin has made it clear that in that event Russia could and would support Iran. The same applies to a potential attack on Syria. So the U.S. will not risk a super-power war over Iran and Syria. They probably wish they had done it without warning two years ago.

It is a definite possibility. Because Iran has the all powerful allies of North Korea, Russia, and it can be argued that China could throw a little loyalty their way. If we were to attack Iran, I would consider eventual world war a certain result of the attack. This is just another reason why diplomacy must be used rather than force.

invading or attacking Iran, depending on the intensity of the assault, would change the world as we know it. espionage and sabotage provide deny ability, and thus little impact. an air assault would be an act of war that would be strategically inconclusive...was the perceived target eliminated? it could also rally Iranians to their, currently, unpopular leadership. it could also inflame those of the Muslim faith who are not already anti-American worldwide. acts of terror would spike to intolerable levels. the specifics of how various nations would respond to this is impossible to predict. an invasion would likely cause the global economy to collapse.
in short...there are no reasonable reasons to invade or attack Iran.

There is a distinct possibility that it could.
And if we were the ones who invaded, the sympathy of the majority of the world would go to the Iranians.

Attacking Iran will be like what happened in Iraq. There will be protests but no military reaction from other countries.

Yes. The lines have already been drawn (just like WW1). All we need is a catalyst to draw the rest of the world into a conflict.

No. Iran is asking for an attack and the muslim world knows that they are.
It's sort of like going out with a drunk friend who keeps hitting on another man's wife right in front of his face.
What happens next he asked for it.

No, I don't think it could lead to world war. Most nations agree a nuclear Iran is a threat to stability.
