See, I'm forced to listen to that sh!t everyday at work on a station that is playing only Christmas music till break and that stuff is just annoying. I don't understand why they insist on it, but it's only making me mad not cheery and happy. Every song is corny and just plain bad.
BUT the one christmas song i like they don't play and that's "Chrismas in Hollis" by Run - DMC.

Flamespeak, I heard it before but it doesn't quite do it for me. Have you heard of Gary Hoey? I think he does some Xmas songs right, and he adds his own thing to it.

I too have to listen to it all day at work. If they played some newer better selections I could stand it. But they play the same stuff ,day in day out ,every day. Getting old....

It's alright, I like to hear the classics every now and then when the season hits.
The key there being WHEN the season hits - I don't want to be Halloween or Thanksgiving shopping and hearing any "Jingle Bells" crap - if anything, it serves to remind us how commercial and selfish the holiday has become.
And the radios - oh God. The radio stations in my area started playing Christmas music in NOVEMBER. What I hate most about radio stations and Christmas is that they insist on playing NOTHING but Christmas music during the season, and many of them will extend their Christmas schedule for about 2 weeks after Christmas ends.

The Tran-Siberian Orchestra plays HEAVY versions of Christmas songs that are actually exceptionally well done. They make me wanna do some major head-banging when they play their instrumental versions of the classical Christmas tunes, but the new stuff that they do is not very good to me (not bad music, it just isn't as great for some reason).
You might be able to find their first CD really cheap (it was mainly the classic stuff redone), or you should be able to download it really easily from just about any internet source.

Hi,
I do not like hearing it too early like mid October in malls to pressure you for the rush.
I like traditional carols played by symphonies and choirs but I hate the rock star input from the 50's to the present.
