... dangerous than North Korea or our open borders or even Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, or China???
Isn't it all sort of an illusion, and the more some place is hyped, the more dangerous it is perceived to be?

I'm referring to the public's fear and anger.
My main point is we have to see what's top priority, like I wish they could really control crime in America. That's terrorism in our streets and it doesn't seem to be getting better.

Iran will be dealt by Israel...I say we don't worry about Iran. There are nukes floating around the planet all over the place. North Korea, Pakistan, Russia.....we might get nuked Iran attaining a program or not.
I say we don't worry about that ****.
Yes, because Bush and the news are covering it, they are making a bigger deal of it than it actually is.

IRONIC the same National interlligence estimate said that Iraq had WMDs in 2003. BUT it was a lie. the Democrats rallied behind that also for politics. Yet again, the NIE has come out with this report, saying the Iranians have halted their Nuke ambitions, the democrats are also rallting behind this report. However, the same NIE was dead wrong about Iraq.
the same National interlligence estimate also says that Iran continues to enrich uranium could FINISH building a Nuke by 2010. Geee.. that sounds like only 2 years from now.

People are unbelievable. This report changes nothing. Right now Iran is trying to enrich uranium. What good is a nuke program if you can't enrich uranium? So they put the program on the back burner. If they gain the ability to enrich uranium, they can restart their nuke program again. The report goes on to say that Iran could get nuke capabilities in the next 3-7 years. Hello!! That is not that far away. That will be during the next president's tenure, especially if they are a 2 term president.

The reason Iran is important is because it has become a center for supporting and supplying international terrorists. It is taking over some of the functions Iraq used to serve. It would be foolish to let this continue unchecked. We are facing a world conflict in the next 2 decades anyway; there is no point in letting the other side get too far ahead.
I agree that stopping crime in the US is another very important priority.

This is the age of hype and George W seems good at hyping non-issues into major threats until the bubbles burst. He didn't hype over Hurricane Katrina of course , on the contrary a domestic tragedy almost on the scale of 9/11 was played down. We do not advertise our mistakes.

Instead of believing in all the hype, we need to research and seek answers for ourselves. Congress did not get all the info. needed to make a sound judgment before the invasion of Iraq, we were told lies after lies to justify this war, fear tactics and all.
We really need to place a deadline for the Iraqi government, then and only then will he take us seriously. In my books our troops have finished their job there, come home with honors. .
