my friend says she is six weeks my last period was oct 22 07 when i type it in on the due date on websites they say i am 6 weeks to how could this be i am making my appointment next week

It goes by the first day of your last period, because that is more presice than when you think that you conceived.
You are 6w2d because my last period was Oct 20th and I am 6w4d. And your due date is July 29th, 2008.

If your periods are regular then subtract 14 days from the the 22nd of October. It will be October 8 +/- 1 to 3 days. From That date till now. If you had sex on The 8th you may have more chance that it is a boy, if the 7th or the 9th then it is 50/50 if you had sex the 5th or 10th then you have more chance that it is a girl. However, the suggestions of looking into the net and having an unltrasound in a month are great. Congratulations.

There is an online help with a calculator for pregnancy. I believe you are almost 7 weeks along. Check with your doctor or go to a free pregnancy clinic. You may not be -just late.

It counts from the first day of your last period. The online calculators would tell you what's right.
