Why are some people saying that the "league" wants the patriots to win? I hate the patriots , but they were not the ones that called a time out on a play that would have given the ravens the ball. The ravens!!! did. They shot their ownself in the foot and lost and now they cry about it.
Those penalties were in fact penalties.
I hate the patriots, but they won.

Yes cambo I did watch the game. The last TD was not a bad call. it was a tough call to make and on a replay you must be absolutely sure to overturn it. inconclusive evidence means it doesn't get overturned.

I think every call was warranted. Whether or not they should have called holding that one play is debatable because Refs tend to lay off when it is game changing, but technically, it WAS a hold and the penalty was legit. There's nothing barring the refs from calling a penalty when one has been committed. The time out was legit. The false start was legit. The touchdown was legit. That was just a series of mishaps on the part of the Ravens and they just made a couple of stupid moves. Did the officials move the ball to be intercepted the previous drive with their minds? The Ravens put themselves in that situation and they have no one to blame except themselves.

It's a sad day when grown men who children look up to can't act like men and take responsibility for the throwing the game away with mistakes. It's a sad reflection of how far our society has degenerated when role models act lke spoiled chumps.

i agree that MAYBE the Ravens shot themsleves in the foot with the timeout that shouldn't have been allowed...BUT that so called TD should have been overturned and when Adalious Thomas batted Boller upside the head that should have been a penalty aganist the Pats but was it NO...I'm not Crying or complaining about the results of last nights game but i will say one thing...
its pretty bad when the patriot player know one of the reasons they even won the game is because they got LUCKY in the end... it was said by many players last night including Tom Brady.. who actualy went as far as THANKING the Ravens for the timeout which should have ended the game... he then later claimed that he heard the whistle blow and that is the only reason he got sacked.... PLUEASE... what was the excuse for the other 3 or 4 sacks

GO RAVENS!!!! its time to forget this loss and move on to Indy

also way to go Boller on that hail mary... too bad it came up just a little short

That was a difficult game for the referee but i think he made right calls.
The touchdown was a catch he had possession of the ball and the 2 foot in and the penalties were penalties, it wasn't a bad call from the refs
It was the Ravens mistakes what cost them the game, why the hell they call a timeout in the 4th and 1?
Why they play all the game perfect and then some costly penalties in the last drive that kept the drive of the pats alive?
Like most of the people i hate the pats but they deserved to win, the goods team find a way to win in the final minutes of the game, maybe it wasn't their talent but ravens mistakes anyway they won.

It has little to do with the time out. It had to do with the completely lousy job by the refs. The no calls on Moss pushing off to get open. The final touch down call that should have been overturned on the review...the receiver did not have control in the field of play. TO had a similar type of catch overturned last Thursday. The officiating crew was terrible last night. Secondly, this the second week in a row the Patriots played like crap and were given great and questionable calls to win.

The call on the hold was a little soft. But both replays showed that there were holds on two other receivers on the play, so it evens out. The TD was a TD. That was one of those cases where they try to take the common sense out of the game with to strict an interpretation of the rules. Gaffney was never in danger of losing the ball, he just switched hands. I thought control was pretty obvious. Even if they over ruled it, Bart Scott took the two penalties while it was being reviewed. The Pats would have had an automatic first down and half the distance to the goal line AND half the distance again. First and goal on the 2. I just can't see stopping them there.

Exactly. All the calls were clearly there. They called a time out. There own fault. The Patriots had a fals start. Not the Ravens fault but it was clear as daylight that he jumped. The holding call was the clearest of them all. He held him the whole way. And then they have to be pore sports about it and get what 35 yards of penalties? All they needed was a field goal to tie it. They had 44 seconds left. If your gonna blame anybody blame 57.

Oh and Bilick making those kiss faces..haha Kiss Tom Brady's asss pal.

There not crying there just mad at the fact they had a win in there hands. When the score was 24 -20 ravens stop the patriots two times when they were 4th and 1. but the ravens ref called a timeout and the second time they stopped them it was a false start on offense.

i got nothin' against the patriots but ravens had won that to me but some stupid calls messed it up. i wanna randy moss to get his first super bowl ring. but last night was messed up for the ravens. that win was theres lol

What was inconclusive about that replay on the TD? He was juggling the ball when his foot went out of bounds. But the Pats prbably would have scored anyway. And the Ravens did enough to themselves with the timeout and the penalties.

hey jay, you indeed are a pats fan.. if you weren't you wouldn't have turned the blind eye to Gaffny moving the ball from left to right with his finger tips. It was so obvious that he didn't have TOTAL control. What about Moss's push off on 3 occasions that weren't called? what about after just about every incompletion, brady getting into the refs face about a phantom holding call... NOTHING bad goes against the Pats, the NFL has catered to them with a pretty cake schedule... someone really needs to take Brady out at the knees. im tired of hearing gloat about the talent on his team.. there isn't a QB in the league that would not benefit with all Brady's weapons... put brady on the Dolphins and see how he does.. he's just a product of the system.. nothing more, nothing less

The league wants excitement that leads to increased revenue. But that doesn't mean they do anything to affect the outcome because they'd lose bigtime if there was a serious question of integrity.

As much as the Patriots were not getting it done, the Ravens were busy getting it undone. The Ravens did themselves in last night.
