I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING. THEY CHECKED THE METER, AND THEY TELL ME ITS MY HIGH USEAGE. IM SO TRIED OF TRYING TO GET HELP. NO ONE WANTS TO HELP ME. NOT EVEN CHANNEL 5 NEWS. THEY ALMOST TURN IT OFF YESTERDAY BUT I HAVE PITTBULLS AND THEY COULDNT GET IN. I ALSO HAVE A HANDICAP CHILD AND IM AFRAID THEY WILL TURN OFF OUR LIGHT. I DONT USE THAT MUCH LIGHT AND I KNOW SOMETHING IS WRONG., I JUST CANT AFFORD FOR ANYONE TO COME CHECK ALL THE WIRES. I PAID 1,000.00 TODAY. NOW MY KIDS WONT HAVE A NICE CHRISTMAS. THIS STARTED SINCE LAST SUMMER THAT THE BILL WENT UP SOOOOOOOOOOO HIGH. I HAD A DEATH IN THE FAMILY SO I WASNT HERE ALL SUMMER AND MY BILL WAS STILL HIGH 500.00-600.00-EVEN 800.00. AND I WASNT EVEN HOME.. I CALLED AND COMPLAINED BUT THEY ARE ALWAYS RIGHT ....AND YOU JUST CAN WIN. IF ANYONE OUT THERE CAN TELL ME WHAT TO DO PLEASE HELP.. THANKS AND GOD BLESS MJ

steve has a great ideal listen to him -- something is really wrong with that house -- sounds like you have a 220 line that is pulling currect 24/7!!!

Start using Fluorescent Bulbs. Use 14 watt OR LESS 4 WATT THE LOWEST. They are cheap get a bundle pack. Also Buy some battery operated lights from walmart. Remember to get a battery charger

Turn off EVERYTHING. By EVERYTHING I do mean EVERYTHING. With everything off, trip your master breaker. With the breaker off, check your meter. It should show ZERO current use. If not, you have ABSOLUTE proof your meter is recording power you did not use.
You say you paid $1000 today. That would have paid a professional to check your wiring. I have NO CLUE what the problem is, but I PROMISE finding out is the LEAST expensive thing you can do.
