I am going in to have a transvaginal ultrasound done to get dates for my pregnancy, is my boyfriend able to come back to the room to see the monitor during the exam?

yes, he can be present for all of your appts if he wants. at least in most US offices.

Absolutely. Have fun! Seeing the baby for the first time is really special, even if it just looks like a blob. Make sure you get to hear the heartbeat. That's the best part. :)

Yes, he can! Just warn him about it first. They left my husband in the waiting room while they did the pap smear, etc. Then the doctor inserted the wand, and THEN the nurse went to get my hubby. So I was laying there, with the wand up me, and my poor husband walked in. He handled it well, though!

yes, you will be covered and he wont see anything embarrassing.
they will put a condom on a long wand, then insert the wand into your vagina to get a better look. I have always been asked to insert the wand myself... kind of awkward.. but I was always covered by a paper blanket and the tech was professional.

I'm sure he can if you tell them you want him to, and if he wants to! I just had one of those and when I walked out and said "they had to do an internal ultrasound" my husband's face scrunched up in horror :)

My husband was there for mine, he was fine with it all, & sympathetic for me! Its not the most comfortable experience, but its worth it when you see your little bean (I think it looks like a jelly bean)on the screen and hear his/hers little heart beat. Good luck
