I really hate it. My mom asks personal things, then gets mad when I don't like to talk about it. Am I the only one that is this way?

No, I hate it too. My mom doesn't even try anymore, in my opinion it's none of her busineses, mom or not. I'm a legall adult I don't have to report back to her.

NO
I think everyone doesn't want to talk about it, especially when you have to face the infamous talk. I hate it whenever someone asks me personal questions. I would say that it's none of the business, but when a friend asks, it just sounds so rude. I'm not good with the little personal moments things, so I'd screw that up in a second, but anyway, back to the point. My own mom gets mad when I don't talk about, and she asks some other questions, so I find myself constantly saying "I don't know" or "I'm not sure." That never works, but it's worth a try.

OK..as a parent of a teenager..I can say that my daughter def. does not like it when I talk about sex....but honestly..this is my point of view..we only have till you are 18 to help you with life's lessons. After that..you are on your own and we can only hope we did the best we could...and you actually listened. It might sound like an invasion of your privacy but it has to do with wanting to help you make the right decisions more then just trying to dig into your personal life...

Well in my case we really don't care. My parents are very open about it. If we have questions we can ask when ever we want. I guess you are more private, but that's ok, I really think there are some things you should just not tell or discuss with your parents!

Not at all. In fact, I never discussed sex with either my parents or my children, they, like I, found out all that was needed to know from other sources.

parents are always shocking nosey when it comes to asking questions about sex. I never understand why lol. I'm convinced my mother only does it because she knows I don't like it, cause she always laughs and I go bright red, change the subject or just walk out of the room.

you know,i find it odd also..but.. sometimes my mom will crack jokes about a pickle... or just something little like that..and say that she'd rather have the long ones.. and I'll join in with her laughter. It makes me feel weird.

Even my grandma will laugh about those things. that is the oddest of all,in my opinion. She was talking about all the kids she has... and I remarked"oh you were staying busy then huh" she laughed and said.."yes.. and that's why me and your grandfather no longer sleep in the same bed".

I was mortified.. I thought her, being the godfearing woman she is,would scold me.. but instead she threw a joke back at me and instead of it making her uncomfortable,it made me uncomfortable,my joke had backfired!

And believe it or not,my father was the one who got me to wear my first training bra. He called them "slingshots"

Not many girls can say that.

It really reaches a whole new level of wanting to climb out of your skin. Especially when the get the mental image of you doing this and that. I mean do they picture you as a novice or
a well schooled....well you know. There is no color of red deep enough

No not at all. I mean my mom and I can joke about it but if its very uncomfortable being serious about it. I think its becoming less awkward because I'm getting older.
