When people get tanned, is it because they like olive skin, or is it because tanned skin looks even-toned and essentially perfect?

Both. people also tend to look skinnier when they are tanned because dark colors look smaller, and their teeth look whiter too.

actually the more tan you are the more you can see the imperfections or skin. I have lots of scars from growing up and playing sports and I notice the more when I am tna than when I am not.
and people tan because they feel like it looks more "healthy" when it isn't. you can get skin cancer and wrinkles from it.

they get tan to make their skin look shiny and nice. i don't think it hides imperfections because tanning actually makes your skin more wrinkly

its to make your skin darker, becasue quite frankly if they did it to hide their imperfections they would just make it worse by tanning

Usually to get darker because they don't like pale skin color.
