when you get so many good replies, and only have to pick one as the best. I was having a bad day yesterday and so many people sent good wishes, and jokes but I could only pick one as best. I would have liked to thank so many , but some people did not allow email, which is understandable. So thanks to all.

You are right Shan, it's one of the difficult things to do when you get so many lovely responses, I thought this the other day and found it so difficult to choose best answer, but it feels wrong to me to leave to voting, as that seems so impersonal, and looks like you aren't grateful for the wonderful responses you get ...it is hard to choose

Yes, sometimes it really is. So I re read over and over until
one may stand out more than the others. I try to always thank
the other answerers in the comment box after choosing the
best answer. I have found not all of the answers picked as
best answer, really are when they're put to the vote. I swear
some voters just pick the first three to read and then
vote on one. As I've found so often that those are not nearly
as good as say, number 25. And they didn't even get a
thumbs up.

Yes I do. Most of the time when I post a question here, I do it in hopes that it will make people stop and think, and 99% of the answers I recieve are excellent replies. It is sometimes very difficult to choose the best answer. By doing so, I sometimes feel that I am slighting the other "answerers" but that is truly not the case. We have some very good contributors to this sight, both young and old(er).

One time I sat here for a good 20 minutes re-reading the final three possible best answers. Like Uncle says, especially in this room with all the good and wise answers.

Yes, I find it very difficult to select the best answer. I don't want to leave it to voters because sometimes the only vote is 1(people who vote for themselves). Too bad we can't give stars to everyone we think has a good answer.
PS What is a G and T??

I know what you mean, I just had to choose from a bunch of good answers. I looked for the one that represented the majority of the people that responded and went with that one.

Yep, sometimes it is SO hard to pick a best answer, but I do prefer to do it myself..and look for something in replies that just grabs me and makes it special to ME... :-) I then post a reply in that effort and thank all also!

Although everyone likes the warm and fuzzy from 'best answer' -- it 's warmer if it comes from the asker. Just do what you gotta in good conscience, we all know a dollar can only be spent once.
