I would go with Mike Huckabee. He would make sure the republican base is out on election night and he has governing experience. Huckabee covers every area that McCain is lacking and has character.
It would be a strong ticket.

No one else has the experience he has. In my opinion, I would say Duncan Hunter:

Rep. Duncan Hunter, born in Riverside, Calif., on May 31, 1948; is a 14-term congressman serving California's 52nd district. Former chairman of the Armed Services Committee, he served in the U.S. Army Airborne before becoming a lawyer in private practice.

Huckabee is too soft and wishy-washy and only served as a governor.

Mike Huckabee, born in Hope, Ark., on Aug. 24, 1955, served two terms as governor of Arkansas. He was president of a local television station and a pastor for 12 years. He also wrote a book describing how he lost 105 pounds through diet and exercise.
