the bulb is burnt out it blinks fast on the dash to tell you this. You can by the bulbs for like $5 at autozone, advance auto parts and fix it yourself or drop about $30 at the dealership.

The signal bulb on the rear taillamp cluster is a standard bulb that you an buy even in Walmart; GE bulbs sell for $2-3 or so.

To be sure, just remove the dead bulb and compare it to the new one before you buy it.

Once the new bulb is installed, the blinking speed will return to normal. You should be able to remove the signal bulb fairly easily, it's shown in the owner's manual. It's a 2 minute job.

Decreases resistance. Its a DC circuit, AC voltage is impedance. Less resistance, more current flow, less voltage drop = faster blink

bulb is burnt out - THIS INCREASES THE IMPADENCE IN THE SYSTEM AND MAKES THE BULB BLINK FASTER
