Each time I try, it says "TrueVector has encountered a problem and needs to close." WHY?!? I need to install ZoneAlarm and fast! please help!!!

Are you sure that the OS you are running is supported by the version of Zone Alarm that you want to install?
Verify the system requirements of the new install, and if everything is compatible, do a clean uninstall of what you currently have (you may have to resort to doing the uninstall in safe mode) and then try the install again.

Did you uninstall the older version before installing the new version? If not, go to Start Menu > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > scroll down and select ZoneAlarm > click [Remove] > Restart. Afterwards, close all programs, including programs working in the background, and install the new version. By programs working in the background, I am referring to any antivirus and/or anti spyware program you might be running.
If the above should fail then you need to rule out 2 possible causes. First, the newer ZoneAlarm file you have right now might be corrupted. Try downloading the newer version again and install. Second, you might have some registry keys left behind from the older version of ZoneAlarm which is interfering with the installation of the newer version. If this is the case then you need to use a registry cleaner to delete this troublesome keys. Do not edit the Windows Registry unless you know exactly what you are doing.

I think you have Windows Vista and there are some zone alarm versions that are not compatible with vista, at least not yet
