The State govt's are doing more about it than the Federal Govt.

Last I heard a few days ago, all 50 states have some sort of legislation brewing to address the problems involved in illegal immigration. This is because of the federal government failing to enforce laws already on the books.

It's a wedge issue, it serves to get the faithful
foaming at the mouth. There's one every election cycle.
Remember same sex marriage?
Illegal immigration is an issue, yes. But not enough of one to sway my vote.
