There should be a reset button on the bottom if its not responding to the switch anymore. Then you need to physically move the auger mechanism. Allen wrench from underneath as others suggested. If this doesn't work you may have to disassemble the drain with an adjustable wrench to physically remove the obstruction.

Take teh allen wrench that others have said and crank it back and forth a couple times use a shop vac and try to remove the glass. DON`T put you hand down there. The glass could cut you too. Besure it is unpluged when using the shop vac. Then after you can use the Allen wrench again with out feeling anything in there. Plug it back in and try to switch it on again. Run water while it is on. If it makes no noise at all there is a reset button on teh bottom of disposer. Press that in. Hope all is well and be sure it is safe.

The humming sound is your stuck dispaosal. All you need is an allen wrench. There is a hole under the disposal that will fit an allen wrench. Insert and turn to free up the disposal blades.

Then carefully, pick out the glass with a flashlight and tongs.

Good luck!

First turn off the power. Then find the angled allen wrench tool and put it in the shaft opening at the bottom of the disposal. Then turn it back and forth and try to unjam the thing.

if your disposal does not have the allen drive, you could just use the handle part of your broom or mop.stick the handle in the drain of disposal and turn it clock and counterclockwise until it breaks free
