I was hurt at work on 11/21 and went to their Dr, I was told to go back to the Dr on 11/26 for reevaluation . When I went back, another Dr told me I needed to get an MRI and see an ortho surgeon for my knee. I was on percocets for pain and told her I didn't feel comfortable working on the pain medicine, or not taking it and being in extreme pain. She told me I would have until 12/3 off to get the appointments done. I am still off work because I just had my MRI yesterday and see the ortho surgeon on 12/6. My work called me and said the paperwork they were given from the Dr said I should have been back to work on 11/27, the day after the reevaluation apt. I was upset and told them I would go see my own Dr to get a note for being out. I live in MI and am wondering what I should do. I have contacted lawyers. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!!

In any accident you are NOT required to use their Dr.s go to your Dr. and keep your appt. with the ortho guy. Fed. law does not let a company dictate where and what Dr. you see.
Good luck and find a good lawyer... Most lawyers in workmens comp. cases only charge if they win. If you can't find one contact the bar assoc. and they will help you in your area.

You did the right thing by consulting an attorney. If you file a lawsuit on the co. and are off work because of the injury, then my best advice is to live life KNOWING you are under surveillance 24/7. Trust me on this one. I've been there, done that. Good luck.

If the pastime furnish letter is contingent upon passing the actual (or drug try) and you fail their try, there is not any question - they have each and every authentic to no longer employ you. If the furnish word would not reference passing the actual - then you certainly've something to ***** to them approximately.
