I'm your fairly typical European girl (golden-blonde hair, light blue eyes, really pale skin, slightly rounded face, little-to-no freckles, long colorless eyelashes) and I don't wear makeup very often. However, I only wear mascara and "nude" lipsticks, and I want to try something different than the typical beige eyeshadow.

I've toyed with darker reds and browns, since both my mom and sister are brunettes and a good deal less pale, but they look... well, bad.

Any suggestions?

hah wow you sound exactly like me a while ago!

honestly i looked through magazine after magazine for makeup hints but i found the best solution was to get some help. i went to the mall and found a Clinique make-up station and they were amazingly nice and helpful when i told them what i wanted. I know Clinque can be a bit expensive but their product last a long time and always looks good. If you dont like Clinque, there are usually other make-up stations around the mall (just make sure they look clean so you don't get sick!)

i hope this helps!! Good luck!

I know exactly what you are talking about. I'm European as well, and extremely pale with no natural pinkish to my face. You should wear a light brown eyeshadow and just a touch of mascara. Put on some light blush and apply a pink lipstick/lipgloss. Hope I helped!

I may not be the best person to answer this... I've never understood why most women want to wear the kinds of makeup they do. (Though I know that kohl and henna and belladonna have been around since ancient times.)

Do your eyelids look bad without anything on them? Or are you just trying to achieve a look akin to the huge bambi-eyes or the type of eyes drawn in manga and anime...? In that case, I might suggest a color that approximates your actual eye color, which, from a little distance will make your eyes appear huge.

(But, double check with someone else.)

maybe you should use some nice blush pretty dark and maybe keep the mascara and probaly wear some light blue eyeshadow. You could also try a light brown lipstick.

youre lucky you can get away with the light pinks and soft carmels on eyes i suggest you get "big beautiful eyes" by benifit its a little eyeshowdow contour kit with a light pink and a darker pink for the contour and a brown for the liner(even comes with an instuctional guide& brushes). it would make your eyes stand out withough overpowering your light face

I think a good color would be a small line of either pale green or pink right above your eyelashes.

definetly use a black mascara. black and blonde go good together. its better than black and brown eyeliner.
