How can I electrify my dog kennel with the chain link wire? I have a breeding billy goat that gets out of everything. After remodeling his pen 50 times I gave up and bought a dog run for him so he can't jump out or break out. He loves hitting his head and now hes stretching my chain link wire. How can I electrify this kennel like a electric fence so he will stop busting out with his hard head.

This is going to be really hard to do. An electric fence has to be insulated from ground to work, since the metal poles and the chain link are all grounded the fence will be impossible to electrify at this point. The best you could do would be to put an electrificed wire inside the kennel to keep the goat away from the fence.

Perhaps you might consider getting an invisible fence and a collar for that goat. If he gets too close to the fence he gets zapped . To electrify a fence might be more expensive . If you are serious check with a professional who knows his business. Maybe you should consider giving up the breeding billy goat. He appears to be more trouble than he is worth.

The only way to electrify the fence is to use plastic insulators attached to the fence that poke out in the direction you want...then you have to run a wire from insulator to insulator. It will shock him...but more than likely he will just tear that all down in no time.

Good Luck....goats are pretty hard to control

There is a collar on the market that is used for dogs normally. If they go over it they get a shock. I`m not sure of the cost of this item. But you could check it. A billy goat is a lot more hard headed than any dog.

the chain link can not touch the polls or ground put insulators on the polls hook the hot wire to fence if it trips the breaker it is still touching somewhere when this complete his feet touching the ground dirt and his nose on the fence will be red and his *** will run
