I'm not sure what you mean by "country girl" - she was the daughter of a lord, so she wasn't out there milking cows or anything like that. If you mean "not a city girl", then the answer would be yes - most of her youth was spent at the family homes in Norfolk, rather than in London or one of the larger cities in Britain.

In an English sense, yes and no. She did live outside of London and she was a tomboy growing up but she was always a really posh person.
