I would go back to when we sued to play soccer in the streets of our kasi.....using plastic ball....the half time used to be at a particular score, say the first team to score two goals would lead to half-time. The winner would be the team that scored the first four goals.......maybe that would help Bafana Bafana to take note that a team must score goals to win matches....

I would go back again to the day when SA had its first free elections. I was there and it was such an amazing experience. It was such a party atmosphere. Seemed like the whole country was smiling that day. We were all happy and excited looking forward to the future. Sadly the future wasn't what we all expected and I reluctantly had to leave beautiful Durban but I still miss it and all my SA friends terribly.

Not being a South African I can hardly return to a spot in its history. However, the South African who most impressed my generation when I was young was the statesman and soldier General Smuts. In WW2 he was a friend and ally of our Prime Minister Winston Churchill and highly regarded by the British people. A friend when we were fighting for our existence as a nation will always be a friend of mine. Of course, as it is now more than 60 years since we had to defend ourselves not many here are able to share my respect for the likes of Gen Smuts.

Oh I would be a big boring, and go back to the late 18OOs and meet up with some of my great great grandparents and hang out with them for the day. Simply because I am tracing the old FAMILY TREE at the moment, and I just wish I could have met them.

I'd go back to the first heart operation performed by Chris Barnard. Even if I would just be a spectator.
