Even though I wasnt really one for the parties and such..it was fun...

Its really the first time you get to set your schedule based on what YOU like. take the classes you want when you want them. join clubs and activities because it interests you...try out different ideas and classes in trying to decide your future....

You can:

~take all physical education classes for a semester if you wish
~try out classes not in your major just because it interests you
~Plan your schedule for only two days a week, or nothing in the mornings so you can sleep in
~form lasting relationships with people you like
~get a job on campus

I guess the key for me was it was the first free time where I had to be responsible. I needed and wanted that responsibility...was fun for me! looking forward to hearing others ideas.

College is fun in the sense that you discover your independence. A person ends up leaving college with life lessons. They learn to manage their time (because you chose your own classes at whatever time you want), learn how to be responsible, and find out the consequence in not working hard in school.

Yes, but it is also a lot of hard work. College can be a good transition of the child-you into the adult-you.
