You have to know what to look for in order to realize its the baby kicking. Most women dont know what they are feelings. It is a really light and mild feelings, like little flutters and twiches and spasms, you might not think it is the baby kicking.
some stomach pains are bound to happen every so often, just like some heartburn and just like some other stomach problems you can get. As long as the doc says everything is fine, then everythin gis fine.

Hey dont worry I think most people dont feel anything untill about 20-22 weeks you might have a baby that sleeps a lot.
Also sometimes if you have put on a lot of weight during pregancy you may not feel much until later on as skinnier people generally feel it first, well thats what I have learnt on here. so dont worry you have your 20 week scan soon dont you? I am only 14 weeks pregnant and I am constantly getting cramps, sometimes if I stand up too quick my stomach is in agony hopefully we are just normal! Good luck.x

First baby you may not feel at 18 weeks. Or, you may not know it's kicking. It feels fluttery, sometimes it feels like gas bubbles without the resulting gas expulsion. You won't feel a good solid kick yet. I didn't start feeling good hard kicks with my kids until past 20 weeks. If you've had a scan and they said everything is fine, then I'm sure it is. Placement of the placenta sometimes can "dull" the kick feeling as well. Mine was anterior with my 2nd child (on the front of the uterus) and it took longer for me to feel anything strong from her. Trust your instinct though, if you are REALLY worried, then call your doctor.

Don't worry honey, you've got plenty of time! With my first, it was about 21 weeks in before I felt anything. And believe me, a few more months on, you wish you didn't feel it quite so much! Good luck!
PS Cramps perfectly normal, it's your stomach stretching and everything inside getting ready for the baby to take up more room.

I didn't feel my baby kick until a day before I turned 20 weeks, and even then it only feels like little twitches inside my belly...some people dont feel it until 22 weeks, so don't worry yourself there.. and as far as the cramps, completely normal, just your uterus stretching... 4-6 months is when the baby does most of its growing!

i never felt anything with my first child.. for the whole pregnancy. He was very small at brith though
My second child I felt from about 28 weeks and never felt hard kicks. She was slightly bigger than average at birth.
I think it all depends how sensitive you are down there. I have never felt a period pain, could barely feel myself miscarrying and was up and walking around on the same days as my cesareans. I linked this with not being able to feel kicks.
Cramp pains are normal ... these may be kicks

Maybe you're also carrying alot of water. That would prevent you from feeling the babies movements. And cramping is normal for the most part since your body is constantly adjusting to the changes. Any severe pain though, i would see a doctor.

if the scan said all is ok,then all is ok,you just imagine how small your baby is,theres a whole lot of room in there, its usually around 5 months with your first child, you only feel it sooner when you have already had a child
good luck
