Whenever my boyfriend and I get a little serious he always brutally murders the mood by pouncing on me and tickling me to death. Why does he do that?

It sounds like he is not able to deal with serious situations - especially if it makes him uncomfortable. If this is the case, this could actually foretell an even deeper issue - an inability to communicate when communication is most important.

Since he seems to tickle you when you are discussing serious issues and he might take it as a serious issue if you try to talk about it, I suggest that you send him an email explaining your concerns and letting him know that you feel it is important to discuss these issues - without any tickling or any other distractions. If he is ever going to have a successful relationship with you - or any other person in the future - he needs to learn how to communicate openly, honestly and effectively in relationships.

He also needs to know that discussing issues does not have to be hostile. It is far more effective discussing issues with the same calmness and tact that you would like to be addressed with.

All the best to you both!

Maybe tickling you with all your sounds of giggles, telling him to stop probably turns him on more. You should tell him it really puts you off and next time he does it, he won't get for a week. He will probably end up stop doing it

hes not a serious guy. He feels tense in serious situations and wants to change it. So he tickles you. I know it is frustrating for girls because we want to talk about things while he is goofing off. It is his personality though, that is hard to change.

sounds like abuse to me especially if he won't stop when you tell/ask him too.
