And also just because you are dating someone of that race doesn't give you a pass to make ignorant comments.
Like this woman I used to work with, her man is Black and she has a bi-racial son, I was wearing my afro and as usual all the White people were asking me about my hair "Oh it's so cool, how did you get it like that?" bla bla bla. And then she made this comment "I've been quite lucky that my sons hair isn't like that" she said something along those lines. I was like..WTF? That goes to show even though she's with a Black guy she still doesn't know anything much about Black people.
And what's annoying aswell is when they go "I'm not racist one of my best friends is Black" and then I just want to be like, I'm pretty sure a comment like that would not come from someone who has a Black friend. You mean you have a Black "associate" or a Black person who says hi to you every now and again and you know eachothers names. But not your friend. And if they are your friend then I'm sure they've never heard all your ignorant opinions because if they did they wouldn't be friends with you.
Sorry just ranting. Don't mind me :-)

I have to say that racism is much more complicated then you think it is. I know most Americans consider that they aren't very racist I'm sure. I agree with you to some extent, but what about the Hispanics trying to get into your borders?
If you aren't racist why wouldn't you let another culture enter your borders? It is agreed that there are some very bad Hispanics that try to jump the border and get to America illegally everyday, but I mean there's always some bad apples in a culture. Crimes happen in cities everyday all over America. Why wouldn't you let the Hispanics in?
Most of them are dying of starvation just like most Africans and yet you refuse to let them in the border. That's what i would truly define as racism. No other word for it. Now you tell me how I blamed any one specific race for skin color or culture. I didn't.

Sadly, it has become next to impossible to make any observation on other races (especially if you're white) without some kind of foreword to pat it down.

Yes, people use that excuse all the time.........which makes you think that they are partly racist anyways............if someone is NOT racist they don't have to do or say anything to prove to anyone that they are not.............I totally agree with you
