Not True

I am not. There are rock fans who are dropouts also. Osbournes are a good example. All of them dropout of school. Maybe if you stepped out your box, you would see that not all people who like hip hop fits the stereotype you believe.

Did someone who is a fan of hip hop do something to you that you have to take your anger out on this forum? Your girl or man left you for someone who likes the music?

You got issues!

I wouldn't say that most hip hop fans are criminals and drop outs but compared to other music genres like Rock and Pop I would say Hip Hop does have more of those types of people as fans. It can get very technical from here and of course very racist-sounding so I'll just leave it at that.

No, it is a music genre that diverse individuals can enjoy. I know a lot of Suburban teens who like hip hop. Though a lot of the hip hop songs coming out today speak a lot about criminal activity.

Some of them are, but not most of them. I don't understand why some people say that because it is SO not true. Also, I am a hip hop fan and they are not criminals either. Don't listen to that boy.

Wow. That's interesting. I have a human resource degree and run staffing agency. Never been arrested. And love Hip Hop. So, I guess that answers that ignorant question.

My husband has liked hip hop & rap for years. ( he's 22 ) He has never once been in jail, or dropped out of school. He's successful and provides well for his son and I.

I think it's just a stereotype most of all.

Just like, I listen to Marilyn Manson a lot. He's my favorite artist, but I dress like your average girl, I go to church some times..it's just a type of music that I really like. I've never been arrested, not even pulled over once, and I graduated with my husband.

For the other users:

it doesn't mean that MAJORITY of hip hop fans are like that.
