No, hate is a strong word, and I cannot hate someone. Instead I would be concerned for you and the others. I m not a cop but I like the answer given by Mr. Citicop. Everyone makes mistakes, but the positive step is to learn from mistakes and better ourselves.
Take care.

I am a Criminal Justice student. I will be honest and frank with you. I would not treat you any different from anyone of my family or friends. I would tell you just like I would tell them, that you need to take your AA meetings seriously and you need to complete them. You also need to understand the severity of your actions. I have seen people I love die and waste their life on drinking. If you chose to drink, at least be responsible from now on to have a driver take you home.
Things happen for a reason and you need to take this and learn from it. Be responsible and careful of your actions and other people around you. I would not hold this against you, but if you continue to do something like this and get caught, then yes, eventually I would.

Is is your first DUI?
My opinion is that people in general become quite upset because there is a known risk of harming or killing someone if you chose to drive drunk (it may not happen the 1st, 2nd time but it will happen)
I wouldn't hate you but would hope that you wouldn't drive drunk again.... Unless of course I had someone in my life hurt or killed by a drunk driver-I'd be pissed at you then because you didn't or couldn't see the pain in my family caused by a drunk driver...

Did you actually do it? My sister-in-law was falesly charged with DUI homicide. It was horrendous. She could have spent the best years of her children's lives in prison. On the other hand, if you actually did it, I would probably not want to be your best friend. Risking other people's lives is a moronic decision. I don't care if you risk your own life, but don't risk mine and those of the people I love.

i wouldn't hate you for making a mistake like that. i would just want your getting a dui to be the wakeup call to let you know that you can't drive after you've been drinking or using illegal drugs. when you do stuff like that, you hurt yourself. that's not good. when you do stuff like that and drive somewhere, you can hurt others. that's even worse. i would just want you to make better decisions in the future.

I treat everyone the same.
Even the people I arrest for DUI.
Everyone makes mistakes. Learn from it and don't repeat it so you don't hurt yourself or someone else.
