Actually my history and my destiny are distinctly separate entities. The simplest analogy maintains that history is the immutable road behind me; destiny is the uncharted road ahead.

I don't think it has to be your destiny - but I do think that sometimes we may be drawn to a certain way of life that is in our history. My family was mainly seafaring people, and I've always been drawn to the sea...but having said that, my sister hates water. I guess we are all masters of our own destiny.

The answer is No. My family history will never be my destiny.
I come from a Mormon background with polygamous Great and Great Greats. I would choose hell over being a harem girl in Heaven.

My History is so varied, it would be hard to ignore all of the different flavors my ancestry has offered. I also know that I've added my own little twists to the mix. I wish I could see what our family is like in a hundred years.

Not your destiny, but those that do not heed the lessons of history, may be forced to repeat it.
