Actually my history and my destiny are distinctly separate entities. The simplest analogy maintains that history is the immutable road behind me; destiny is the uncharted road ahead.

I don't think it has to be your destiny - but I do think that sometimes we may be drawn to a certain way of life that is in our history. My family was mainly seafaring people, and I've always been drawn to the sea...but having said that, my sister hates water. I guess we are all masters of our own destiny.

The answer is No. My family history will never be my destiny.
I come from a Mormon background with polygamous Great and Great Greats. I would choose hell over being a harem girl in Heaven.

My History is so varied, it would be hard to ignore all of the different flavors my ancestry has offered. I also know that I've added my own little twists to the mix. I wish I could see what our family is like in a hundred years.

I don't think so. Im going to med school, and my family history includes alot of farmers and laborers. Im pretty sure that my ancestors won't be that disapointed that i'm going to be a doctor....

Nope we are a very large DIVERSE FAMILY, ON BOTH SIDES, stay at home moms, teachers, dumbys, doctors, nurses, sheriffs,cops, horse thieves, car thieves, lawyers, house keepers,small store owners, alot of farmers, loggers, real estate agents, welfare recipients, entertainers, business owners, professional engineers, auto mechanics, airplane mechanics, hair dressers, waitresses, transit bus drivers(in two states)mine workers, city and county employees, truck drivers, , recovering alcoholics, recovering narcotics, drunk drivers, perfect drivers

No my family history has nothing to do with my future. I make my future and like mister ed ,they broke the mold after I was made too.
