My girlfriend has a couple of savings bonds

One is from 1988

One is from 1992

One is from 1991

Both the 1991 and 1992 ones say "Series EE- interest ceases 30 years from issue date" but the 1988 one doesnt say this. Does it mean it will keep gaining interest?

And if it's a $50 bond, how much will it be worth when the 30 years are up?

How much is it worth now?

Sorry, but all EE bonds stop paying interest after 30 years. There are many free EE bond calculators available on-line, all you will need is the date of issue and face value.

The 1991 EE $50.00 is now worth about $60.00.

They are paying 4% interest.

There is a free bond program at
