I do agree, but there are come conservative values that have nothing to do with race or sex. Finance, taxes, medical etc. are all very different when dealing with both parties. maybe these women should pick a liberal conservative (someone middle of the road) or a conservative liberal.

First I think you may have the wrong idea about conservatism,
if you look at the differences between the two the lines have become blurred.
the problem is our politicians have told us we have to be either one or the other, the truth is you can be liberal or conservative on an individual issue, for example, you may believe in a womans right to an abortion which would generally label you as a liberal but at the same time you may oppose giving illegal immigrants health care, this in general is a conservative view.
The point is we as people are much more complex then our politicians would want us to believe.
We were never supposed to be only a two party system and because you have a conservative view on one issue does not mean you can't have a liberal view on another.
We must stop allowing our politicians to use this format to divide the people.
Remember it was a conservative (republican) that freed the slaves, and it was the liberal (democrats) in the south that tried to keep minorities from voting.
The only thing that makes you hypocritical is if you vote on an issue a certain way while believing in your heart the other because you support one party or the other.

No, the conservative viewpoint is the best one for women, minorities and everyone else because it insists on personal responsibility instead of being the property of the state. Liberals never gave anyone any "rights". The rights people have are natural rights as protected in the first 10 amendments of the constitution. Being a conservative in no way means a woman is anyone's property, it means smaller government and the chance to create a good life through your own accomplishments.

No, it's not necessarily hypocritical. Conservatism and Liberalism mean different things to different people. Don't just go by labels and stereotypes -- just because someone says he/she is conservative or liberal, you can't automatically deduce what their stand will be on all possible issues.
In regards to women as men's property -- there are some conservative women who actually want this. And plenty of conservative women who do not. Again, there is a great deal of variation in the spectrum of conservatives, liberals, etc.

There are many kinds of "conservatives"
A fiscal conservative could have progressive views on many social issues, yet still have a conservative view on economics.
To answer your question, no. I feel you can be a woman, or minority and be a conservative.
BTW women are not a minority. There are more women in the USA than men.

Being fiscally conservative doesn't mean one is necessarily politically the same. One actually can be poliltically liberal and still be fiscally conservative.
I believe in the "Right to bear arms" but I do not believe in the death penalty.
I strongly support a woman's right to choose, but believe we need LESS government interference in our daily lives.

I think it's hypocritical to think that, if they have all those rights, they should be forced to think the way you do, or I do or how ever someone tells them they should. One of the blessings of freedom is to be able to believe what you want to believe, whether people agree or not.

i think that it's hypocritical for anyone to be conservative. people don't need to be so one sided nowadays. when you broaden your perspectives, you broaden your perception. all these conservatives are doing is holding themselves back from embracing new things and ideas.
