Anyone saving different, is saying Bono from U2 is gay, and I take personal offense. :)

I think we've come a ways from the specific side having any meaning because I've seen it both ways on both types of guys. Some people think any earring at all means gay or just both. Pick what you're comfortable with- what you like and go with it. You're going to find a number of people who will like it- others that will interpret it as "gay" and others who just hate it no matter WHAT side you put it on.
Why does it matter that much anyway? It's what you do (more who you date), not what you wear, that defines your sexuality. There are straight transvestites, afterall!
