hotel - motel in Monterey, CA?

Question

do you know any GOOD hotel / Motel in Monterey, CA under $150(incld Tax)??

I have my friends over from out of town and want to take them Monterey and stay there for one night..
please advice me!

Depends on whether or not you want a motel. There are some inexpensive mom and pop type places which even have fireplaces but if you want something nicer, for that price, if you still want to stay in a really nice place, you might want to consider going to PG (Pacific Grove) which is very near Monterey.

Just remember that if you stay on the beach in MOnterey.. it is FREEZING cold! lol That wind will cut right through you!

Del Monte Pines isn't a bad little motel. It is clean, quiet and not too far from local attractions (aquarium, museums, base, harbor, univ. etc)

I stay in Monterey at least once a year and I stayed here last year. Nothing really special about the place accept it is right on the beach! Make sure and ask for a ocean view if you stay here.

Seaside most hotel go $38 to 49 plus tax.

Monterey Days Inn $49, Super 8 $59, Surf Inn $49, El Castell motel $49, Best Western $89 plus tax

Those prices are good for Sun to Thur, weekend may be $20 more.

As a inn manager from the peninsula, i can inform you that you'll get particularly a range of rooms with jacuzzi tubs contained in the rest room, some with the tub contained in the bedroom, and in basic terms about 5 rooms contained in the area with a bath contained in the room to boot as an ocean view. the very fantastic is the Tickle pink inn in Carmel Highlands. the images on the internet website are not any more an exaggeration.
