psychology is the study of the mind & behavior. psychology is a type of social science, such as sociology. i think what you are referring to is natural sciences, i.e. physics, chemistry, anatomy, etc. you'd have to check with the school specifically to see if it is included, so just give them a call, or email. bye

I wouldn't be too confident about that school having a psychology course. Psychology doesn't usually tie into the science and math classes, it's generally in the Social Studies, if they teach it in the first place. You should call the school administration and ask them, they will help you out. Private schools will probably have a psychology class, unless it's centered on different subjects, like math.

The difference between men and women in reference to how they utilize their brains would be an interesting topic. Women think more with the right hemisphere (artsy) and men think with the left hemisphere (mechanical)... that is why women want a hug when they are upset and men want to beat up whoever upset their woman. Interestingly enough... men have more brain cells but use the same amount of their brain... and neither men nor women are smarter. I think this would be a good topic since the kids are hitting puberty... psychology should always be focused on how it can be utilized and understood in daily life. So, a project for this could be "please write a paper on the difference between men and women and your new understanding of the opposite sex".

While it's something that would be taught in the "college of social science", it isn't strictly a science the way chemistry and biology are. It's more in what would be called "humanities".
My instinct says it isn't something that would get much treatment in a school that focusses on math and science. You'd have to check with them to be sure, though. Each school is different.

I am a bit confused here. You say you want to be a psychologist but you don't know what psychology is???? Doesn't that sound just a bit strange to you? Why would you want to be the practioner of a career when you don't know what they do?
