Just this week, somebody has started to use my email account without my permission in order to advertise porn. The oddest part is that it is not just one individual using my account, but several different names. Is this considered illegal, and if so, how should I go about contacting law enforcement agencies?

Just change your password to something impossibly complicated or contact the email provider and have them terminate the account and start another one.

I doubt that you will have much luck with prosecution.

How are they using your e-mail? Are they sending to others from your address? Or, are others sending it to you? If they're using your address to send it to others, it is theft and you can indeed file a police report. You should contact your web administrator(s) ASAP if that is what is going on. If the latter, then there is nothing you can do about it. Just hit the "spam" button.

All email addresses end up as the forged "From:" address on spam sooner or later, and then some time in the future.

Don't worry about it, no one thinks it really came from you.
