How exactly do you change the oil gauge on a kawasaki er5. I need to change it cos it's all emulsified up on the inside.

the oil window on er5s are part of the caseing & cant be changed,just remove the caseing &wash it out .

Run the bike so the engine gets hot. It will boil the moisture out of the oil. That engine is water-cooled, maybe you should have it checked - you might have a leak. However, at this time of year it's not uncommon for the oil to form emulsion due to condensation if it's not given a damn good thrashing!

That bike is similar to the EX500.
The oil level sight glass is replaceable on the EX, not sure about yours.
Check with your local Kawasaki dealer.
The sight glass has to be pressed out.
Then the new one gets pressed in.
It's an "interference" fit.
The hole in the clutch cover is smaller than the sight glass.
When it gets pressed in, it's sooo tight, it won't come out.
