If you are collecting Beanie babys for later resale and profit forget it!!! If you want them just for your own liking keep collecting.I'm letting you know this ( I WISH-someone would have told me )and that is I have over 70 Ty beanie babys on my store.I looked up prices and tryed to give the market value in the middle.I first joined a group to see about selling them and alot of people are trying to sell, BUT not buying.I'm sure the company who started the fad got rich!but I seriously don't think any one else will. Here's another kick in the bucket for you...I had intended to donate all I had to a Christmas charity this year((COULDN'T SELL EM))but I heard on the news that they are not accepting toys for donations! I guess the lead content. You can look at the prices on my store if you would like to compare.and their is a Ty beanie baby site to get the values. Http://atdanisesden.ecrater.com Good luck!

ebay can be a source of information on values. Check completed auctions. In all honesty, I don't think most Beanie Babies are worth much more than you paid for them. There used to be price guides available at Hallmark & other stores, but I don't know if Ty still publishes them or not. I ended up giving most of my Beanie Babies away because I couldn't sell them for what I originally paid for them.
