is the white population shrinking?

Question

I know birth rates are lower in white countries than the rest of the world. But is the white population shrinking or just not growing as fast as other races.

It depends on what white population you're talking about. Russia is losing population very quickly. Most European countries are staying about the same. The only gains in their population are among immigrant populations. In the United States & Canada the white population is staying stagnent. But it doesn't have a birth rate at replacement level & it's aging so it will soon start to shrink.

Define."WHITE"..... Define ."Black". Irregardless of your definition, the answer has to be YES just like it would be if you asked same question about any other nationality. Just like horniness, Love is not felt or determined on the bases of nationality. Both of these things create children,and those children are a virtual melting pot of genes from many nationalities. There are "white" children born every day which carry "black" genes and "black" children which carry "white" genes. In both cases, those skin COLOR genes can, and do become apparent in later generations even if both birth parents have same skin COLOR as child is born with.

just read the other comments and I'm not a racist. If you look at skin COLOR alone, [GRRRRRRR} Then i would have to say maybe not shrinking, but not growing at the same rate it once did. This is true for alot of reasons but mainly because of economics and the growing awareness of world instability on many fronts. I personally would not bring a child into this world today knowing that the world could easily be a much darker place in the near future. There is political unrest and the effects of global warming to be considered. There are also many sources, from all parts of the world, which date back thousands of years, saying the world, as we know it, will end in the year 2012. That notion is now being backed up by the best minds in the world and is due to the global warming. It makes alot more sense to help the children who are already here and have had a hard life up to this point.

I think it's under going more biracial and ethical changes. That's why you'll find some Hispanics now who are just as critical of African Americans and a regular white person would. This is because either a white woman married a Hispanic man or a white man married a Hispanic woman and the white person is sharing his customs with his son or daughter.

Maybe the white skin color race will eventually die off. As i do foresee happening in the next century by the way the global warming and depletion of the ozone keeps occurring, but i don't think the white criticism or there ethical traditions will ever die

And just to clarify. White is an ethnicality. It has nothing to do with your skin color. If it did then we would call Hispanics Browns and Indians Reds and Asians Yellows and Middle Eastrners Darkies. White is only used to refur to a certain type of ethnical group of people. There are plenty of tan white people, but there ethnicality points them to be of white culture. Just like Blacks point them to be of Black culture. Don't take this as racism cause it's not.

Populations are in decline only in westernized countries. US, EU etc.

That's why there is a need for more immigration or there will be an Economic Crisis.

India, China are growing. Africa has a high birth rate but overall population will decline due to Aids and lack of help from Rich nations..

2050 estimated pop 9 billion....One third will be living in Slum Cities..

In the US it is. The Hispanics have the highest rate of birth. Of course you can be any race and be Hispanic but the Mestizo/Indian race (?) is definitely the fastest growing.

Just to throw something out there--

Ya know what cracks me up about white racists? So many of them make jokes about all blacks looking alike and other such nonsense. And they fail to realize the false logic in their assumptions. If all blacks truly did look alike (meaning that, according to the white racists, whites are very diverse) then that would mean that blacks are more "pure" while whites are "mixed" with "this and that"). WHAT THE EFF?

Anyway....

It's amazing that you're getting called racist for asking a simple question. It's not like you asked why white people smell (which is something that they like to ask about us, and isn't it odd that the same people who laughed at that question are getting offended about this one?). I guess you hit a nerve or something. They can be so defensive. And we're supposed to be the whiners. Lol.

Anyway, I do believe that the white birth rate in the USA is lower than that of other ethnicities but I'm not sure about other countries.

It may also seem like the white population is shrinking because of interracial relationships. It has become natural and accepted in most cultures to date and marry outside of your race in today's society. If you look just 30-40 years ago it would have been difficult to be accepted as a mixed couple from any type a racial background. I don't think its shrink I think its MIXING.

yeah we are a dieing breed. it's not that we aren't growing. my boyfriend and prob future husband is from another country and color. i haven't been drawn to a white man in a long time. not all of them are pompous and racist but the majority where i live are and i can't stand that attitude. so i by choosing to marry outside my race will create another off shoot i guess. but my heritage isn't 100% white. i have a lot of natiave american ancestors as well as black and the actual white is a mix of so many other cultures.

Statistics show that the pure white population is shrinking as multiracial 'inbreeding' (Don't know another word :3) occurs more and more often.
The darker phenotype and characteristics have a greater probability of showing of up.
